Adjunct Professor
My name is Dr. Chris Coffman. I received my BSN from University of Maryland; an MSN in a Family Nurse Practitioner Program, and a PhD in Nursing with a concentration in Nursing of Minority Families from Hampton University I worked several years as a Certified Critical Care Nurse in various critical care areas. I practiced as a Family Nurse Practitioner working with vulnerable populations the under-insured, the non-insured, the homeless and children and families at risk. I moved into a nurse educator role and have taught in the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral nursing programs. My area of research interest is care of vulnerable populations and gerontology assessment.
