A few years ago, I decided to further my education and look for an institution that would fit my work and personal life. I ended up choosing Wilkes University because of the way the DNP program was structured. The program Director guided me towards the right path and even adjusted my coursework for to accommodate unforeseen realities of life. The professors were all knowledgeable and supportive. In my opinion, the key in successfully completing this program rest in the fact that most of the curriculum courses’ assignments and papers are geared towards the student’s DNP project. This was properly stressed and explained from the very start of the program. This made an impact in the way I conducted and completed my DNP project at the end of the curriculum. Prior to starting my DNP journey, I thought that my life would be so hectic and stressful. Looking back and after completing the program, I can say that I had a very enjoyable and productive experience. I attribute that mostly to the Wilkes University’s Passan School of Nursing and to its administrators, professors, and staff. I wish and pray that this school would continue to support and guide the professional advancement of nurses for many years to come. God bless!
