
Mary Jane Miskovsky

Dr. Mary Jane Miskovsky is an associate professor and coordinator of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner programs at Wilkes University. Dr. Miskovsky has more than 20 years of teaching experience in graduate nursing. She has been instrumental in course development and academic policy of these programs while continuing to serve as Chair for DNP projects.
Dr. Miskovsky is a nationally board-certified adult nurse practitioner providing direct patient care in a variety of clinical settings.
Dr. Miskovsky’s research presentations and publications include nutrition in college students; weight gain in the college years; implementation of virtual patient simulation in an online nurse practitioner program; and utilizing standardized patients in an online nurse practitioner program. Dr. Miskovsky has presented posters and podium presentations at conferences at the local, state, and national level.
Dr. Miskovsky received her DNP from Carlow University. She earned a master’s degree in nursing as a clinical nurse specialist with a focus in nursing education, as well as a post-graduate/APRN certificate as an adult health nurse practitioner from Syracuse University.
