Dr. K Reeder is an adjunct faculty member at Wilkes University – Passan School of Nursing. Dr. Reeder holds master’s degrees in nursing (University of Iowa) and adult education (Drake University) and a PhD in Nursing Administration (University of Iowa). Dr. Reeder’s past academic experience includes faculty and associate dean of research appointments in schools of nursing and medicine, where she taught research courses and facilitated others’ programs of research. Dr. Reeder’s symptom management research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health – National Institute of Nursing Research and disseminated through national and international presentations and publications with the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, American Association of Heart Failure Nurses, Midwest Nursing Research Society, and Sigma Theta Tau International. Dr. Reeder is a Fellow in the American Heart Association and is an inaugural Cardiovascular Team member of the American College of Cardiology Journal Scan editorial board. Dr. Reeder is currently serving as the member ambassador for Sigma Theta Tau International – Alpha Alpha Rho chapter. Dr. Reeder has served as a reviewer for top-tier peer-review nursing journals for over 20 years and is widely published.
