Dr. Meghan Pontz, DNP, CRNP, FNP-C, is a Faculty of Practice for the PMHNP and DNP programs at Wilkes University, where she directs curriculum strategy and serves as a subject matter expert in crisis psychiatry management. Alongside her teaching, she maintains active clinical practice as an Psychiatric Crisis Nurse Practitioner and as a Family Nurse Practitioner, providing holistic medical and behavioral health care to patients with severe and persistent mental illness. With more than a decade of experience spanning emergency, inpatient, and outpatient behavioral health settings, she brings current, practice-grounded expertise into the classroom, mentoring graduate students in evidence-based, patient-centered psychiatric care.
